Moushami Joshi advises sovereign governments and private clients in all aspects of international trade law with an emphasis on WTO disputes, law, and policy. She advises clients on WTO disputes, trade remedy proceedings, export controls, and FCPA compliance issues. In a previous capacity, she represented and advised the Government of India in WTO disputes and on a host of WTO policy matters.
Moushami has advised the Government of Mexico in WTO disputes against the United States under the WTO’s TBT Agreement and in administrative review of the Sugar Suspension Agreement and companies on various FCPA issues ranging from the review of anti-corruption compliance policies to the review of distribution contracts.
Moushami has also been involved in conducting extensive internal investigations for a Japanese company’s operations in Brazil.
Academically, Moushami pursued B.A./LL.B. (Hons.) from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore, in 2001, followed by LL.M. from the George Washington University Law School, 2002, with Highest Honors where she was awarded the Rule of Law Fellowship.
