Abhay Kumar is the Head – Legal and Corporate Affairs at IndiGrid Infrastructure Trust, bringing more than 25 years of extensive experience across legal, regulatory, and corporate governance functions. His diverse professional journey spans multiple sectors, including power, telecommunications, real estate, and print and electronic media.

In his current role, Mr. Kumar provides strategic legal and corporate counsel, with expertise encompassing contract management, litigation, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and legal advisory. His broad sectoral exposure enables him to navigate complex legal and commercial matters while supporting business objectives and robust governance frameworks.

Prior to joining IndiGrid Infrastructure Trust, he held senior positions with prominent organisations including Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd., Jindal Steel and Power Ltd., Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd., Tata Teleservices Ltd., and The Tata Power Company Ltd. These roles have provided him with comprehensive experience across diverse legal and business environments.

Mr. Kumar holds a Bachelor of Laws from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi, and a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Statistics (Honours) from Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi.
