Sanjeev Sachdeva is Chief Legal Officer and Head of the Legal Department at Elan Group, a leading Gurugram-based real estate developer. With over 33 years of experience in the legal profession, he is recognized for his depth of expertise, strategic approach, and strong track record in handling complex legal, regulatory, and corporate matters in the real estate and infrastructure sector. In his current role at Elan, Sanjeev spearheads the Group’s legal function, overseeing high-value land acquisition and collaboration transactions, complex real estate development rights, largescale financial and loan documentation, litigation management, and regulatory compliance. Since joining Elan in March 2024, he has been instrumental in steering critical transactions, including major land acquisitions, high-stake litigations, and financial closures with leading institutions such as Kotak, IndusInd, Piramal Finance, and Aditya Birla Sun Life. Before joining Elan Group, Sanjeev was Senior Partner at Mine & Young, Advocates & Legal Consultants, New Delhi. His career also includes leadership positions such as Senior Legal Counsel and General Counsel at Emaar India Limited, Senior Vice President – Legal & Secretarial at M3M India Limited, and Head – Legal & Secretarial at Gumberg India Private Limited (a U.S.-based real estate group). Across these roles, he has led legal operations spanning corporate law, high-stakes land transactions, customer and litigation matters, and corporate documentation.
