Senthil Kumar Chandiran is the Head of Intellectual Property (India) at Ashland, bringing extensive experience in intellectual property management, patent strategy and pharmaceutical research. In his current role, he leads IP initiatives, manages patent portfolios and supports innovation and regulatory compliance across the organisation.

Senthil has progressed within Ashland from Manager – IP, building strong expertise in developing and implementing IP strategies aligned with business and innovation objectives. Earlier, he served as a Senior Patent Engineer at Hercules and held leadership and scientific roles at GVK Bio and Clairvolex, contributing to patent portfolio development, pharmaceutical research and intellectual property initiatives.

His research background includes roles as Senior Research Scientist at the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research and Research Scientist at Birla Institute of Technology. Senthil holds an LL.M. from Texas A&M University, an LL.B. from Osmania University and a Ph.D. from Panjab University. He is also an Indian Patent Agent and holds M.Pharm and B.Pharm degrees, combining legal expertise with strong scientific and technical knowledge.
