Shriram is the Legal Head at Bharat Biotech, one of the world's leading vaccine and biologics manufacturers, where he oversees the group legal function spanning across multiple entities, including BBIL, Chiron Behring Vaccines, and Sapigen Biologics. At Bharat Biotech, he advises in general corporate matters, leads strategic commercial negotiations, and oversees the group's IP portfolio and strategy, in addition to handling key commercial litigation and dispute resolution.

In litigation, he draws on his years before the Madras High Court to represent and advise on commercial and corporate disputes across trial and appellate forums - a grounding that now shapes his work as In-House Counsel, where he translates legal risk into practical, business- aligned decisions for contracts and negotiations.

He holds Masters in Law & Economics from the EMLE Programme (Hamburg, Rotterdam, Warsaw) as an Outreach Scholar, an LL.M. in Corporate Laws from Hidayatullah National Law University, and a B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.) from SASTRA University, and is a qualified Company Secretary.

The same instinct underpins his focus on building and strengthening governance and informed decision frameworks across the group's 20 entities, a natural extension of these qualifications, and on communicating law to business minds - translating legal complexity into language business leaders can act on - as well as his broader interest in the interplay between markets, business and regulation, particularly in the life sciences space.

Beyond his day-to-day practice, he remains committed to capacity building for future lawyers, having taught Corporate and Commercial Laws at Tamil Nadu National Law University and SASTRA University, and to advocacy for best practices, through his association with institutions such as the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI), Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and the Independent Directors Databank (IICA).

An avid reader and philatelist in his free time, he is professionally driven by a belief in free enterprise and the pursuit of greater access to global health for the Global South.
