Hiranmai Rallabandi is General Counsel and Chief Governance Officer at WeWork India, forming a pivotal part of the Executive Leadership Team overseeing legal & secretarial, compliance, and risk mitigation functions, as well as M&A and funding activities. She is instrumental in shaping strategic initiatives, formulating and executing policies, managing data privacy and information security requirements, intellectual property, and strengthening the company’s operational and risk framework. She is a seasoned professional in the legal fraternity with 25 years of experience as General Counsel and Head of Legal across jurisdictions in APAC. She holds a law degree from the Faculty of Law, Delhi University, and possesses extensive expertise in Corporate & Real Estate Laws, Mergers & Acquisitions, Funding, IPOs, Labour Relations, GRC, ESG, Enterprise Risk Management, Data Privacy, and Risk & Compliance matters within the Service Industry. Her international experience as APAC General Counsel, collaborating on a global platform and with international law firms, has provided her with deep knowledge of laws and compliance across the APAC region.

She also oversees Corporate Governance, ESG strategies, Ethics and Compliance, alongside litigation management, and leads Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), driving risk mitigation strategies across all functions. Her role is further strengthened as a member of the company’s Risk Management Committee. Additionally, she serves as a decision-maker on various internal committees, including the Investigation Committee, POSH Committee, Internal Real Estate Committees, and ESG initiatives.
