Sopin Peerzade is a seasoned legal professional with 16 years of extensive experience across corporate legal operations, legal advisory, contract management, compliance, enterprise and third-party risk management, due diligence, litigation management, dispute resolution, and mergers & acquisitions. As the India Legal Head at DuPont, he plays a pivotal role in enabling business functions through strategic legal leadership and robust governance.

Sopin’s expertise includes drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of legal documents such as Master Services Agreements, Professional Services and Consulting Agreements, Software Licensing and SaaS Agreements, Manufacturing Contracts, Amendments, SOWs, NDAs, Change Orders, and agreements involving intellectual property rights. He has also led the development of policies, SOPs, contract playbooks, quick reference guides, and RFP/RFI documentation, contributing significantly to process efficiency and risk mitigation.

A key part of his role involves driving compliance and conducting due diligence across diverse parameters including financial irregularities, anti-bribery compliance, FCPA, anti–money laundering, sanctions (OFAC), EPLS checks, and other global regulatory mandates. He has designed and implemented compliance frameworks, managed audits and risk assessments across jurisdictions, and worked closely with internal and external auditors to ensure seamless governance. Sopin is adept at leveraging a range of contract and risk management technologies such as Ariba, Emptoris, Icertis, Ellipsis, ECMS, SharePoint, Symfact, and third-party risk tools like LexisNexis Bridger Insight, Dun & Bradstreet, Vantage, and Ariba SRM. His strong command over enterprise legal systems has enabled him to enhance contract lifecycle management and strengthen risk oversight.
