Abhayan Jawaharlal is the Global General Counsel at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, bringing extensive experience in global legal leadership, corporate governance, compliance, and intellectual property within the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical sectors.

Prior to joining Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Abhayan served as Deputy Global General Counsel and Global Chief Compliance Officer at Cipla, following his role as Chief Legal Officer. Earlier, he was Group Chief Legal Officer at Sterlite Power, where he advised on legal and strategic matters across the electricity, oil, and gas sectors. At Biocon, he served as Group Head, Legal, supporting legal operations in the biopharmaceutical industry.

His earlier career includes roles as Head – Intellectual Property and Bangalore Operations Attorney at K&S Partners, Intellectual Property Attorney at Dr. Kainth and Associates, and Trademarks Attorney at De Penning and De Penning.

Abhayan holds Bachelor’s degrees from the University of Kerala.
